What methods we use for printing?

UV printing on metal

This is a cutting-edge process that allows for high-resolution, full-colour designs to be printed directly onto metal surfaces. Using ultraviolet light to instantly cure the ink, this method produces vibrant, durable prints that are resistant to fading, scratching, and weathering. It’s ideal for both decorative and industrial applications, from branded signage and nameplates to control panels and custom promotional products. UV printing adheres well to various metals—making it a versatile solution for projects requiring precision, long-lasting results, and a professional finish.

Screen printing on metal

This is a traditional yet highly effective method for applying bold, durable graphics to a wide range of metal surfaces. Using a mesh stencil and specially formulated inks, this process allows for consistent, high-opacity prints—ideal for simple designs, solid colours, and long production runs. Screen printing offers excellent adhesion and resistance to wear, making it a popular choice for industrial labels, panels, signage, and branding elements. It performs particularly well on flat or slightly curved surfaces such as aluminum, stainless steel, and powder-coated metals, delivering a crisp, lasting finish.

Applicable Metals for Printing

Printing is applicable for different metal substrates such as:

Powder-coated metals

Painted and anodized metals

Stainless Steel

Aluminium

Cast iron

Bare or varnished metals, and more

Why use direct to surface printing on metal?

This high-durability printing process used to mark, label, or decorate parts, equipment, and materials used in manufacturing, engineering, and commercial sectors.

Unlike standard commercial printing, industrial printing emphasizes longevity, resistance, and precision in challenging environments.

Who do we work with ?

A significant portion of our work is carried out directly for sheet metal workers and precision engineering or machining companies.

In these cases, customers typically supply pre-prepared and painted metal panels or components, ready for printing.

We’re happy to assist with artwork if needed and will recommend the most suitable printing method to achieve the desired results.

Many of our clients already have established relationships with their own metalwork or powder coating suppliers and send parts directly to us for printing. In these instances, we handle the printing of your product, and will always notify you if we identify any concerns before proceeding.

If you’re developing a new product and don’t yet have a metalwork supplier, we can offer a complete “Design to Product” service. This includes artwork creation, as well as sourcing and finishing of the metalwork through one of our trusted partners before the final print stage.

Whether you’re producing a one-off prototype or managing a repeat production run, we’re here to help you find the best solution for your printing requirements.

Industries that require direct to surface printing

Engineering

For engineering companies, screen printing on metal is essential for producing clear, permanent markings that can withstand harsh environments and the demands of industrial applications.

Medical

Screen printing is widely used on medical equipment because it provides durable, high-contrast markings that can withstand harsh cleaning agents, sterilization, and daily wear. It works on a variety of materials like plastic, metal, and glass, making it ideal for labeling or branding items.

Transportation

Screen printing is used on metal for transportation signs worldwide. The inks used in screen printing are specially formulated to bond strongly to metal surfaces, it’s also ideal for producing sharp, high-contrast visuals that are critical for visibility and safety.
